Tui Na Massage
A Chinese Massage in the Chinese way meaning pull and grasp. It is an important component of TCM. Tui Na involves massage, acupressure, gentle releases, mobilisation, chi gung and cranial balancing.
Massage
Technique of soft-tissue manipulation including active and/or passive movements with varying degrees of fixed or moving pressure; used to assist the body in maintaining or increasing health and well-being.
Acupressure
Technique using fingers to apply pressure to points on meridians along the body (ie. Without needles)
Lymphatic Massage
A specific type of massage which supports and assists circulation in the lymph system. Used in boosting immune system.
Cupping
Technique using rounded glass cups, applied to the skin; to treat chi, dampness problems or blood stagnation.
Chi Nei Tsang:
An abdominal specific massage of the abdomen, internal organs and intestines; to relieve digestive disorders, dysfunction, intestinal blockages, cramps, etc. by strengthening and detoxifying the internal system.
Gua Sha
Technique using porcelain spoon in a scraping method on the skin; removes blockages in blood stagnation, thereby promoting normal circulation.
Moxibustion
Technique similar to acupressure where herbs are used to heat the points along the body.
Wok Brush massage
Massage Technique using brushes as the massage tools, a bundle of bamboo rods is used to strike specific lines along the body and limbs. The bamboo rods create vibrations which serve to open the pores of the bones for the accumulated energies to access the bone marrow. These vibrations also shake any toxins out of the
fasciae, muscles and internal organs, while breaking up deposits of uric acid and releasing tension from the body: used to relax, rejuvenate, stimulate, and promote good circulation.
Gentle Releases and Mobilisation
Series of gentle movements of the limbs and the joints, (using a combination of joints or single focus on one joint); using the aided movement combined with the bodies natural movement to release and free out tightness and stiffness in joints.
Movement and Breathing exercises
Using the clients breathing, while moving the clients body (at varies degrees of pressure) to assist release. Also uses the six healing sounds breathing technique.
Re-patterning
A dynamic system of re-educating the limbs, used the dynamic’s of the natural movement of the limbs, at a ligamentum level, through the complete range of movement for the limb.
Cranial Sacral Therapy
Release of cranial bones and spine using the fulcrum method.
Acupuncture
System in which needles are inserted to points on meridians along the body.
